Eight years ago

Seems every eight years I get an itch to recover a small chair I purchased some 22 or so years ago. I first covered it in soft small wale green corduroy. Next was a large pink peony print. Then came a large paisley design between two bold blue stripes. Now it will be covered in a dark green with gold geometric design running throughout. It is Uma's chair. She likes my choice of fabric.

Sometimes

Things happen in this world that make you just want to cry. People are not treated fairly. Families ripped apart. Children abused. ...just want to cry.

It's me again

Last time I was on I had turned over the reigns of the Scarlett O'Hatties and took on the title of Dowager Queen. Looks like I might be getting those reigns back. Our current Queen was diagnosed with Cancer of the Stomach. Surgery is scheduled for Friday the 18th of June. Prayers are for the skillful hands of the docs.

On another note. My first husband was on his annual motorcycle excursion in the States and met with an untimely death. I mourn his death as do his children and grandchildren. He gave me some good lessons on survival as a young bride and three beautiful, strong children. RIP Bob.
